55 Police Division’s new Superintendent Frank Bergen shaved his mustache off for the first time in 15 years. On hand to help with the trimming were many of his colleagues as well as Ward 32 Councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon (pictured – sporting her own ‘stache’) and local historian Gene Domagala.

Money was raised during the event for Bergen’s Movember fundraising effort, a yearly event that raises funds for research and awareness of prostate cancer. To support the efforts of Superintendent Bergen, as well as Beach Metro News’ Bill MacLean or any number of volunteers trying to put hair on their upper lip to raise money for prostate cancer research and awareness, go to the website for Movember: http://ca.movember.com.
