On Sunday, Oct. 23, centre court at the Scarborough Town Centre will be transformed into a Paris runway for the Rouge Valley Health System Foundation’s third Annual Fashion Show. The show will feature designs from a variety of Scarborough Town Centre’s fashion retail stores. And this year organizers are excited to have Lynn Spence of City TV’s CityLine as Mistress of Ceremonies.
Yvonne Snider, who has chaired the Fashion Show steering committee since its inception, has also served as the fashion director for the event in previous years. A former model herself, Snider, a former Beacher, now calls Guildwood home and is a regular supporter of the Rouge Valley Centennial hospital’s community fundraising committee.
Another former Beach resident will be featured in the event when Toronto Sun columnist Christina Blizzard committed to walk the runways in fabulous new fashions as one of the show’s models. Blizzard has been a member of the Beach Metro News board since 1999.
Tickets cost $100 for two or $60 for one and are now available at both offices of the Foundation or online through www.rougevalley.ca/rvhsf, or can be reserved by calling 416-281-7342. Proceeds of the Fashion Show will support the purchase of new echocardiogram equipment in Rouge Valley Health System’s Cardiac Care program through the Heart of it All campaign. This new equipment will enable Rouge Valley to provide the most accurate and advanced results, allowing us to offer greater care to our patients.
