Their writing carries the imprint of that decision: poems shaped by exile and belonging\, protest and quiet witness\, rupture and renewal. \nThrough readings\, reflection\, and conversation\, this gathering honours not only their artistic contributions but also the enduring role of poetry in times of conflict. DESCRIPTION:Join the City of Toronto Urban Forestry staff to explore the natural world on a local neighbourhood tour in the Danforth/Coxwell area. Learn how to recognize different species and acquire fun facts about their cultural and ecological importance. \nThe tour will start and end at the Danforth/Coxwell Library\, Main Floor\, and will be guided by the City of Toronto Urban Forestry staff. There may be uneven\, unpaved surfaces along the route. Please dress and prepare accordingly for this outdoor program (e.g. gloves/mittens\, hats\, sunscreen\, water\, comfortable shoes). This program takes place rain or shine. In the event of severe inclement weather\, registrants will be notified of an alternative date.
