Everyone wants to join in at Carnival\, and composers were no exception. Composers from all over were influenced by the distinctive style of the Venetian masters. Prepare to be swept away as we unmask these treasures\, led by the mysterious gondolier “Beniamino.” Works for two violins\, cello\, harpsichord\, and theorbo\, by Vivaldi\, Merula\, Fontana\, Castello\, and more! \n(PS: We are serious about the carnival masks – we would be thrilled to see folks in costume!) \nRezonance Baroque Ensemble is one of the most exciting groups on Toronto’s classical music scene. Unafraid of improvisation and experimenting with new concert formats\, and known for giving captivating performances that resonate with today’s audiences\, Rezonance is one of the foremost chamber music interpreters in Toronto.
