April Verch and Cody Walters will take the stage for the Saturday, April 29, Acoustic Harvest concert at St. Paul's United Church in southwest Scarborough.

April Verch and Cody Walters will perform at the Acoustic Harvest concert on Saturday, April 29.

A husband-and-wife duo, the pair combine their musical backgrounds to perform regional Canadian roots, American old-time, 1950s country, Scandavian folk music and their own creations. Verch grew up in the Ottawa Valley Walter’s roots are in the heartland of Kansas.

They transform from traditional Ottawa Valley step dancing and fiddle-tunes to old-time fiddle-banjo duels with vocal harmonies and more.

The pair have performed in 14 countries and played everywhere from pubs to festivals including the stages of the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Their April 29 concert takes place at 8 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church, 200 McIntosh St. in southwest Scarborough.

Doors for the show will open at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets to the performance are $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
