The Danforth community will offer a show of support for members of the Madinah Masjid mosque this Friday.
In the wake of the tragic shooting in which 50 people were killed during Muslim prayer ceremonies at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand last Friday, the Danforth Multifaith Community and the Danforth Jewish Circle are inviting area residents to form a “Ring of Peace” around the Madinah Masjid mosque on Friday, March 22, afternoon.
The “Ring of Peace” gathering will take place from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. at the mosque at 1015 Danforth Ave.
Everyone is welcome to show their support and offer protection to members of the local Muslim community as they enter their place of worship for Friday prayers.
