If you are looking to work off some the excesses of the holidays and enjoy a nice long bike ride, then Scarborough Cycles has the event for you.
The 23-kilometre December Group Ride is set for the morning of Saturday, Dec. 29.
The ride departs from AccessPoint on Danforth, 3079 Danforth Ave., at Thora Avenue just east of Victoria Park Avenue, at 10 a.m. The two-hour ride will travel along a portion of the Waterfront Trail, Corktown Commons and Taylor Creek Park before heading back to AccessPoint for noon.
Those wishing to take part can gather at 9:30 a.m. for hot drinks at AccessPoint.
Participants are reminded to wear winter gear as the weather conditions could be a factor.
The route will include traffic, and is best suited for riders who have at least moderate experience commuting on a bicycle.
