A seven-year-old boy has been injured after falling from a stair railing at Dundas Junior Public School in the Dundas Street and Broadview Avenue area.
Toronto police helped organize an emergency run to hospital for the boy who was injured just after 11:30 a.m. today (Dec. 17).
When police arrived at the school, the boy was unconscious but he has since regained consciousness. Police said his injuries are not life threatening and he is expected to recover.
Toronto District School Board spokesperson Ryan Bird said it appeared the child fell down approximately eight to 10 stairs after sliding on a hand rail.
