Stuff the Bus Toy Drive in Leslieville will gather donations for those dealing with abuse

The Stuff the Bus Christmas Toy Drive, which will be collecting donations for the ABUSEHURTS organization, takes place Saturday, Dec. 15, in Leslieville.

Local residents are invited to join members of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Toronto-Danforth Councillor Paula Fletcher and Duke Live this afternoon at 1225 Queen St E. for the ninth annual Stuff the Bus Toy Drive and Fundraiser.

Last year the community donated more than $10,000 worth of toys alone, along with new and used clothing and cash.

Those attending are asked to donate new unwrapped toys, new and used clothes, gift cards to grocery stores, gift sets for adults, and bedding.

All donations will go to ABUSE HURTS, which helps different agencies across the GTA that help those dealing with abusive situations and the fallout of abuse.

Inside Duke Live there will be raffles, a silent auction, music, special guests, and more.

The event goes Saturday, Dec. 15, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The bus will be parked in the Duke’s parking lot.
