Four teenage boys charged in connection with stabbing of man at Main and Danforth

Police have arrested four teens in connection with the stabbing of a man on Dec. 6 in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area.

A 14-year-old boy, two 15 year olds and a 16 year old have been charged in connection with the stabbing of a man in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue last week.

Toronto police said a man was approached at approximately 8 p.m. while his vehicle was in an underground parking space in the area on Thursday, Dec. 6.

According to police, the man saw four young males in and around his vehicle. He confronted them and physical altercation took place, police alleged.

The man, whose age was not released, was stabbed during the altercation, police alleged. The man’s injuries were not life threatening, police said.

As a result of an investigation by officers at 55 Division, four suspects were arrested on Friday, Dec. 7. Police announced the arrests in a press release on the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 12.

A 14-year-old boy is charged with aggravated assault, robbery and failure to comply with a recognizance order. Two 15-year-old boys are charged with aggravated assault and robbery. A 16-year-old boy is charged with aggravated assault, robbery and failure to comply with a recognizance order.

The accused cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
