Food symposium at St. John

From left to right, Grade 8 students Ben Ing, Luke Dolenc, Jackson Hickey, Jack Doyle, Daniel Olivia, and Michael Turner stand by their exhibit on food borne pathogens at the St. John Catholic School food symposium on May 29.

Along with posters geared toward older students and visiting parents, Olivia and Turner wrote, “A Corny Story” about a cow whose digestive system becomes a place for bad bacteria like Larry Listeria and Sammy Salmonella to party after her farmer switches her to an all-corn diet that is too low in fibre.
