Can you imagine walking south on a frozen Lake Ontario for 100 metres in March? Well the photographer of this image did it on March 7, 1924. The view is looking east from the bottom of Silver Birch Avenue. Construction on the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant would not begin for another 8 years.
