Celeste Keller and Lori Dell

You remember me telling you about two local artists, Celeste Keller and Lori Dell, who were participating in the television series Star Portraits. Each artist was assigned to complete a portrait of a particular Canadian celebrity – Celeste was assigned Mike Holmes and Lori, Jeanne Beker – as were others. The celebrity would then chose which portrait they wanted for themselves, The rest would be auctioned off for charity.

Well, it turns out that both Keller and Dell won! Mike Holmes chose as his favourite, the portrait painted be Celeste, and Beker chose the one by Dell. Of course, because filming was done in advance, both artists knew at the time of the original story that they had won. But of course because of the broadcast delay they were sworn to secrecy.
“I’m so glad I can finally talk about it,” said Keller. “That was a whopper of a secret to hold.” Congratulations to both artists.
